who needs twins

As a kid I always thought it would be cool to have a twin or have twins and dress the same and be all matchy, matchy. Well, who needs twins when you have an easy-going husband and a little boy who wants to be just like him. I had promised Eli I would make him some bow ties. I got a pattern on-line and made it up. It said it was for a child but a little over sized. Well it was more than over sized, so Joe inherited it. Then I downsized the pattern for Eli. Of course Eli insisted that him and daddy wear them to church the next day.
The first picture is Eli and Joe to a T. Talking and being goofy and not wanted to give smiles. After about ten shots they finally gave in. Though, I actually like the first one best.

Snow Day

We finally got some snow this winter. I'm so glad the kids got a chance to play in it because next year all they may get is rain. Though Joe was glad there was so little snow this year, Eli would have loved to play in it everyday.

Number One

Emma is offically one years old. We were lucky enough to have grandma and grandpa Abel in town to help us celebrate. Emma's been, luckily, an easy going second child. Here are some things make Emma her...

-climbing up anything she can reach her little legs on
-making chomping sounds when she eats
-crossing her feet when she sits
-cuddling with anything soft but especially eyore and her blankie
-how excited she gets when her dad comes home
-lots of hugs
-how she likes to copy her big brother and play with him
-weaning herself before she was one
-sleeping through the night for now
-her laugh and smiles
-she's a vaccum, anything edible on the floor goes in her mouth

Thanks for being part of our family. We are so glad we followed the feeling to have another little one when we did.

We love you Emma!

unders

I e-mailed this to a couple of people and then thought it was too good not to share with many. Though the amount of people who actually look at our blog is probably less than the amount that I sent it to.

So there is a tiny art museum at the third floor of the albany airport. We checked it out the last time we went to pick up grandparents.
I thought these unders were perfect in celebration of Eli's completion of pooping on the potty for the last week or so. Then I read the caption and couldn't stop laughing, okay really just only smiling loudly on the inside.
I should I have taken a picture of just the underwear though, not that I don't love Eli.
